Develop software programs of a complex nature, including operating systems, applications and/or network products. Develop project plans, functional specifications and schedules for these products. Design and perform analysis on complex programs and systems. Assist in determining product requirements, technical specifications and enhancements.
Going to be a daily sync meeting. Come in and will developing 90%, rest of the time will be debugging.
Will have an assignment onsite. In an office.
Will have full access to other members of the team. Will work with other experts in the team. 5 engineers total working together.
5-7 years of experience.
CS degree required.
Best candidate who has the experience, can quickly pick things up. Even if they know ASP.net, Unit testing, Web services, it’s a new product they will be learning. The code base is different. They will need to ramp up on their own. Someone that can figure things out on their own, instead of running to another devs constantly.
The way we measure is showing them around the code, the process, then give them a warmup problem. That has been the indicator in the past for the stronger dev’s. A good candidate will take the info plus code work plus time spent will be able to navigate through to the solution
Large Scale service – Has worked on a large software system. Large codebase, or product that is used by allot of people. Understand the problems. On a large-scale service.
Web services, Rest API.
*OData is nice to have
Testing experience, Automated testing experience, Unit testing experience.
What makes this role interesting: They will work in Office 365, it’s one of the biggest communications platforms out there, the code they will be touching. The scale that this is deployed to. It is quite huge.
