Reporting to the manufacturing Customer Service Manager, the manufacturing Customer Service Supervisor is responsible for executing the plan to achieve excellent customer service. This role oversees the movement of finished goods in and out of the plant, executes the production schedules, drives inventory control, promotes good warehousing, supervises shipping/receiving staff and assists with the investigation of plant service failures to achieve root cause/sustainable counter measures.

The Shift Manager provides the leadership to effectively lead shift production, maintenance and shipping operations to world class levels of safety, environmental impact, quality, service and efficiency, within the financial internal controls framework. This position works closely with the entire Supply Chain Team, Customer Service and plant leadership. This position provides leadership on the warehouse floor and operates within the North American network of Manufacturing Shipping/Service teams.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Provide an accident free work environment and promote the company vision of absolute safety

Enforce good housekeeping within the shipping area and warehouse, in line with the 5S framework

Execute the companies standardized process model, and drive “in control” and “reliable” availability

Complete projects requested by the manufacturing Customer Service Manager to drive improvement

Inventory control, order fulfillment, shipping/receiving and ensuring product inventory meets customer demand.?????

Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities within all legal, compliance, and applicable contractual policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, completeness and quality

Supervise all plant loading staff

Collaborate with manufacturing Customer Service Manager in the scheduling of production and staffing

Participate on the Customer Order Fulfillment team (COFT) for the plant????

Serve as a trained and qualified back up for the manufacturing Customer Service Manager


OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensuring department staff are trained using company standard method and competent to execute the plan

100 day planning for team in line with the plant and operations policy deployment

Strict adherence to financial internal control guideline requirements

Execution of strategic initiatives to reduce costs and improve service.

Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Post secondary education

Strong proficiency in ERP software MS Excel and Powerpoint

Excellent communication, people skills, relationship building, strong customer service

A minimum of 2 years of related work experience preferably in a supply chain management role.

High degree of analytical thinking skills, ability to deal with complex problems.

Ability to multi-task and problem solve in a fast paced environment

Ability to influence peers and key stakeholders.


PREFERRED OR DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

2-5 years experience in sales distribution, logistics, or planning.

Experience working in a manufacturing environment.


FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY

Support warehouse cost deployment to identify loss and projects to drive improvement


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

Supervisor to the loading staff

Leadership and Mentoring as required


WORKING CONDITIONS

Normal office environment

Travel and other plant visitations when necessary. <10%


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Requires long periods of sitting, working on a computer, and speaking on the phone.

Requires ability to frequently tour the plant manufacturing and warehousing areas
